David grew up in Davis County until he left for college in 1995. Through undergraduate and graduate programs and his first jobs he lived in Utah County, Cache County, and Missouri. Afterwards he settled with his wife and four children in Bountiful. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the St. Louis Missouri region.

David has taken an active interest in politics everywhere he has been but now feels that it is time to do more than advocate on specific issues. His political participation has blossomed since he took an active part in helping to influence the transportation plans of Utah County with other concerned citizens. He firmly believes in the virtues of individual liberty and the rule of law – especially the laws that are founded upon our United States Constitution.
